Can anyone make a sword ?

Hey guys someone msged me last night and askEd me if I make swords. I told her that I couldnt and that I wouldnt want to attempt a comission pieces with out any experience making swords. So is there any one here who would be interested in taking this on. Heres a picture of the actual conversation

Lol yeah me too I'm not sure if she really wants to know how much it's gonna cost for two hand made swords but who knows people spend a lot on weddings so I thought I might send her in someone's direction on here

Well, just shows up some of the drawbacks of text msgs - not much info exchanged. Perhaps a txt msg to broach the subject, then a phone call to actually talk about it would have exchanged MUCH more info.

Just my little rant about txt msgs. They're ok for exchanging 3 or 4 word msgs, but not a long conversation.

Also I don’t know when the wedding is but it would take a long time to make two swords even if the maker started right away and most sword makers I can think of are backloged for a while

I haven't made any swords yet.....but if I did, I assure you a pair of them would be quite pricey. That's an upfront conversation so there are no misunderstandings and not much time wasted.

Kevin Cashen, and hes a member on this forum. Sure it will be very expensive! I saw one that Matt Parkinson made and it was $3500. He sells some for more!
