Buying first folder kit

I’ve never built a knife nor even even taken a folder apart… I’m shopping at USAknfemaker for a couple of kits so I can learn the basics.

I built one folder from a kit. It was a positive learning experience. If you wish to build a folder a USA Knifemaker kit is a great start.

If I were looking for a knife kit, then USAKnifemaker's is for sure where I'd order it from. I've made a couple of their kits, a slipjoint and a liner lock. Both turned out to be good knives with good steel. I got the liner lock to use as a pattern as much as anything, but not got around to it..... yet. Good steel is used.
