Butcher Block

Hey Dawgs
I am cutting wood now for my first Butchers Block.
I am leaning towards Gorilla Glue and biscuits for assembly.
Good Choice ? Something better out there?
This will be a work top for my wife's bread making cart.
There will be almost no knives and very little liquid coming
in contact with it, if that makes a difference.
Thanks
Tom

What wood are you using?
Gorilla glue would probably work well, but stains many types of wood and foams like crazy, making cleanup/finishing harder than needed. Plus the expense of GG compared to other wood glues.

Titebond II or Titebond III are your best options here. They have the "indirect food contact approval rating". I've also used the original, but it is not as moisture forgiving.
For cutting boards and butcher blocks, the best results I have obtained have been with the Titebond II.

Not sure if you need biscuit, dowell, or any other type of reinforced joint construction or not, although it wouldn't hurt, but it will be more work.
I've always just used glue. Properly done, the glue joint is stronger than the wood itself.
