I have a vibration in my grinder, and Contacted Burr King to know were to start looking. I think I found it, it's the 10" contact wheel. Is there a way to check this out, looking at It, It looks OK. The guy at Burr King said sometimes the rubber will start to come loose. Is there a way to check this my self? Anybody know were to get it a contact wheel re-coated?

www.contactrubber.com These folks can recover your wheel.

I had that happen on a Coote grinder from running it too fast. Norman Coote exchanged wheels for me.

The way to check it is to put another wheel on it and see if it still vibrates?

Its hard to tell over the net but my guess is that it's bearings or the rubber? You might try taking the wheel off and seeing if you can push the rubber on one spot on the wheel more than others? They start to separate
I wish you luck on this one.

Put a dial indicator on it and check for run out.

I recently got a vibration on my KMG and checked the 2" wheel .
It had a low spot about .005"
I can't remember exactly what happened but was surprised when it kicked back doing some non knife, heavy grinding, noticed it days latter when fine grinding a blade.
