Buck 110 Project

KNIFE MAKER
A friend of mine asked me to “clean up” his uncle’s 40 ish yr old Buck 110. The uncle passed away back in the 80’s, and my buddy wants to give the knife to his dad for his birthday. One issue that I had with the project was the fact that the uncle had carved his name and initials into the bolsters. I was told to do my best to keep the engravings. The knife was in rough shape. He also wanted the knife to “knock his dad’s socks off.”

My buddy @Bjmac gave me some hand engraving tools a while back so I made a plan lol. I deepened the markings with the push gravers, reground the blade and started sanding. I still have some work left, but this project is nearing the end.

I was worried about this one.... didn’t want to mess it up. Thanks for looking.3FEB5979-910E-4D71-B7B0-3A670EA01105.jpeg2908B40E-64F5-42E8-ADA8-95995211A2CC.jpeg390B0477-E08B-4E64-9F3D-9D76047460FD.jpeg

Thank you all! I think folders are awesome! To me the inner-workings are ingenious. I’m continually blown away by how smart knife makers are. Clever, clever, clever!
