Thank you! It was a fun build and I learned a lot. On the next one, if I use a metal pommel I'll solder the bolt on. I didn't think about there would be a partial thread line visible when I cut the bolt top off and sanded it flush with the pommel. It's not very noticeable but its there.

a pommel with a countersunk corby on a threaded tang looks seamless. You really want a mill for that, though. You could do it on a drill press, but getting the hole and the countersink perfectly aligned needs very good clamping.

Well now that you’re making guards, a mill is a must for cutting slots! You HAVE TO have a mill. There’s no way around it. I mean, we aren’t animals.
