I am trying to design and plan out a hidden tang bowie and I got to the point on trying to decide on a guard material. I would like to use 416 stainless. However I am unsure what an appropriate size is etc. Suggestions on dimensions of the material I should be buying so that I can make a guard?
I would like to make a guard that kind of runs into the handle not just a 1/8" piece of 416.
