Bonding and trust of my dog?

You should know that the dog has understood and bonded with you if he likes to spend time with you, obeys your command to fetch things, starts to jump on you, likes to sit on your knees and wants to wake you up in the morning.

I wasn't going to respond in this thread, but Whew! Boy, whomever wrote the information in that link is educated WAY beyond their intelligence! I've been a dog owner and trainer for most of my adult life. Applying human traits, actions, and emotions to dogs will get you only one thing....frustrated. Dog's are pack animals, and until a human knows what that is, and understands it, any training efforts are doomed to failure.

Praise your dog when he approaches you if you expect him to pay attention to you. If you don't want your dog to concentrate on you right now, ignore them. That's just what they're looking for. And if you talk for a few minutes, the dog will continue to sit. That is not correct. This is not a formal reprimand. Instead, it shows your dog that they are only allowed to accompany you and be praised on those occasions. See how it behaves and how she responds to your commands. If it wants to be constantly near you and unquestioningly performs all your commands, then congratulations, the dog has become attached to you. However, if all is the opposite, then you need to educate it. Three years ago, I had a naughty bulldog. I even had to install a special fence that notified me when my dog ran away from the yard (I found it on the https://thepetsmaster.com/best-wireless-dog-fences/). Finally, I got tired of this behavior and decided to give it to the trainers. Two weeks later, the insanely obedient dog was returned to me.
