Bolster lock flipper.

This bolster lock flipper is a prototype I finished today. It's not for sale but I will have it at the Guild show next week just to get some feedback.
The Sandvik 14C28N blade is 4"X1"X.120" @60Rc with a silicon carbide blasted finish.
The integral bolsters, liners caps are titanium, jeweled inside, silicon carbide blasted outside and anodized dark bronze.
The scales are jade G-10 with a bead blasted finish.
The knife is 5 3/16" closed and weighs 4.5oz.
Since I'm going to be carrying this I didn't put a pocket clip on it but I will on the ones I make for sale.
Questions,comments and constructive criticsim welcome.
Y'all enjoy!

Hey Don,
The bolster lock is not my idea it's a frame lock with milled out pockets for scales. I can't remember where I saw my first one. I don't ever remember seeing another one with bolsters and butt caps.

Any chance we could see a video of the flipping action?

Andrew,
I will try to make a video Monday or Tuesday and post it here. I'm leaving Wednesday morning for the Guild show so I may not have time. Come to the Guild show and you can flip it yourself.

I took some video today but I don't know how to post it here from my ipad. If some one would volunteer I will email it to you and you can post it here.

Calvin, it looks like a winner. The bolster lock is a mystery to me. Does it lock in both open and closed position? I'd sweep your shop if I could have a peek inside. :)

Bruce,
I could take advantage of you but I won't.
This is nothing more than a frame lock with areas milled out for handle scales, the portion of the lock bar that you operate by hand is in the bolster area.
I'll still let you sweep my shop if you like.:)

Calvin,
It looks good but If the bolsters are integral why are there screws other than the pivot and stop pin screws in them? It also looks like there is enough room to hide all frame screws under your scales and remove the rear one.

Chuck,
The screws in the bolsters other than the pivot and stop pin screws are simply a mistake on my part. I used a pattern from one of my other knives to mark the hole locations and forgot that I wouldn't need those holes for an integral bolster so I just carried on with this prototype build and threaded those holes, counter bored them and put some screws in them. There is a frame screw under the scales and the one you see that is exposed.
I should have included some photos of the back and belly of the knife.

I have a YouTube account but I can't figure out how to post videos. I'm not very smart when it comes to that kind of stuff.

If you have a video on your iPhone you should be able to upload it by going on the video on your pictures and there should be a box with an arrow on it in one of the corners, if you press it one option should be share, then press YouTube and I think you are set from there. I'm not entirely sure though. I don't do computers or these blasted smart phones either, hope it's of use to you though.

Like Liam said:

Upper right corner (perhaps lower left if recently upgraded) you should see a box with an arrow coming out of it.
Click this and you'll see sharing options. (May have to click "next" if upgraded)
Select YouTube and it will take you to an options screen.
Title the vid, write a description, enter some key/descriptive words to aid in search filtering, select definition, video type, and then "upload".

If you have a good internet connection, it should take about 1-2 minutes per minute of video to upload. When done, click "share", then copy link and post here.

Bada bing!
