Black cherry / hand forged 144 layers

Here is one I just finished Black cherry handle, nickle silver guard and rap. Blade is made from 1084 ,1095 and 15n20

this one was taken from a lot of different knifes i have seen. it feels good in the hand. this was the 3rd peace of Damascus i have made I think i should have done another fold and had 288 layers. next time. the cherry was a crotch burl that i had drying for 10 years cut planks with the chain saw and then to the table saw to get the burl in the blocks.the wrap around the blade was a practice for the next San Francisco knife
