BG42 Buffalo Hunter

Finally finished this large hunter- it is a redesigned blank as handle shape was set but blade shape was unshaped so made a large blade to match large handle design. Blade is .205 RC61 BG42 SS Ln2cryo treated, 6" and 10.5 OA, vine file work, my own raindrop mokume bolsters, red buffalo and nickle silver spacers and pins, copper corby, SS tube, and amboyna burl scales. Added a buffalo etching as I have a lot of stencils and wanted to try a few- may be too cluttered for some but kind of like it. Sheath is my pigskin lined 6-7 oz and carving attempt. Sweet Hunter!
Great finish. I used BG-42 for a small skinner that I made and sold for years.
Excellent edge holding steel with great corrosion resistance. Perfect for hunters, I have a few of those water jet blanks left. I think I'll make them up.
