I'm just getting a handle on doing it this way, but I start with an A45 gator to establish the secondary bevel and get it just shy of actually being an edge. Then X16 norax and X5 norax (I randomly use norax or trizact for the x16 but only have the norax for x5). At that point it's sharp but generally has a very fine burr. I knock that off with a few very light strokes with a super fine ceramic stick that's somewhere around 10k grit.

On knives with a heavier edge I'll start at A65 just to get close, but I've only done that a couple times, I usually grind down to a fairly small secondary bevel since I'm not making big choppers.

I look forward to what other folks say, I've got a ton to learn about this.
