Bandsaw blade

I have about ten feet of lumber mill bandsaw blade. It’s about 10 in. Wide and about 1/8in thick. I’ve never worked with it before. Will it make a decent knife? Do I have to anneal it before shaping and beveling? Do I harden and temper as I do with my 1095. I’m new to knife making and new to knifedogs,looking forward to all your help.
 
I bought around 100+ feet of old bandsaw stock as you described. Like Gruff said, it is more than likely 15n20. I have not had to anneal mine to work with it. Makes very good knives, my favorite steel.
