Attaching horse stall mat

What is the best way to attach horse stall mat for a knife handle? I was thinking about gorilla glue. I think I will also need maybe bolts or will pins be enough?

I haven't done any myself, but a lot of makers are having success with RTV silicon adhesive and micarta pins. Also, the newer rubber-toughened Gorilla superglue (CA) is getting pretty good reviews with the mat. Pins are fine.

Because the mat is flexible, glue alone will not hold it on for long. I've done a few and found, through trial and error, that my best success comes when I use a glue that remains flexible, and also using some type of mechanical fastener like the expansion type 2-piece rivets.

It takes some thought to get it affixed so that it will stay....my first few handles of it came off within a week of use....just took me a bit to understand the dynamics.
