ATS 34 Folder Spring

I am trying to make a spring for a slip joint folder out of ATS 34. I was given instructions to heat
treat at 1850deg. F and soak for 30min, I then air quenched and then was told to draw at 1160 deg. F
for 2hours one time. The result was 40RC. Could you possibly advise me on a procedure with an outcome of 45RC.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

40 Rc isn't too bad for a spring - maybe on low side, but certainly useable. If you do wish it maybe 45 Rc temper for an hr at 1050ºF, then if too hard (as close to 50Rc), temper for another hr at 1100ºF. Just walk 45 Rc in step at a time. Once you get 45 Rc (if that's your goal), temper for another hour.

I do mine at 605C for 2 hours but I haven't got an RC tester to give you the hardness of them

Thank you both for the suggestion of 1950F. I haven't been doing this long enough to question any of the temps. that have been recommended.
But I will try these temps. as well and log results for future reference.
Thank you again for your help,,,
