Assisted opening liner lock geometry?

I’ve been thinking about attempting to make an AO liner lock for myself, since I have some scraps of Damasteel that are too small to make a regular knife from. Main problem I’m running into is: I don’t know how! I have a pretty good idea how the tang has to engage the lock, and how to locate that portion of the mechanism, but how does the AO portion work? I’ve never made a liner lock before, but I have made three slippies. I need a project to drive me nuts all winter, I figured this would be a great way to do it
