looking for a lifetime of knowldege in about an hour.
just kidding , my name is lee eastridge and i live in van buren arkansas. about a month ago i got hooked on a heat treating article and stumbled onto a new passion, long story short i talked to wayne coe about a motor and vfd today and he told me i should register and introduce myself . im looking to make knives and i would appreciate it if i could read or join in from time to time . my goal is to try and educate myself somewhat so when i do get an oppoutunity to learn from school or knife maker
i can make the most of it. as in all my hobbies i will be burning money not making it so my pursuit is for the craftsmanship.
now im gonna show a little respect and say this....

i feel blessed to live in a country where i have the time , money and freedom to do anything . thanks to the ones who gave up everything to protect that. and most of all thanks to GOD .

Welcome to the pack! It's nice to have another Arkansan aboard. As others have mentioned, the Arkansas Knifemaker's Association Knife Show will be held next weekend at the State House Convention Center in Little Rock. There will be many of the top makers from Arkansas and around the country wil be in attendance. It is a great opportunity to meet and socialize with some of knifemaking's greatest talents. If you are interested in attending, please drop me a PM and I will hold some passes for you.

Also, we have a monthly meeting on the last Thursday of every month in Little Rock where 30+ knifemakers get together to socialize and share tip. One of our resident Master Smiths or Journeyman Smiths will usually teach a class or two as well. We'd love to have you attend if you have time to make the drive.
