I am building an internal frame lock folding knife. Any common mistakes that you have made building a knife that you recommend watching out for. I have all items ordered shipped and still coming. Let me give you some specks: Blade is 440C by 0.25", Liner is 440C by 0.09375"(3/32"), Grips Digital Camo G10 by 0.125".
Feel free to give me any and all advise you can think of. This is my first time building a folder but build number 121.

Check out the video it is the Diablo 440C video.

Please check our tutorial forums. There are several that would help with your folder project.

Good luck,
Steve

.250 440C is going to be a thick blade. That's a lot of grinding! Most guys use titanium for liners. The strength to weight ratio is above all others and does not require heat treating. You are going to have to heat treat your lock side and then spring temper it.

Good luck, check out the tutorials. Measure twice and cut once.
