Anyone know if there is a place that does hardening of big chunks of steel?

Hi Guys,
I am trying to make a post anvil and would like to send out a 30 -100 lb piece of 4140, 4340 , h13, or d2 or s7.
Anyone know which one of these steels would be the hardest with out heat treating?

The shipping may kill you but I would call Paul Farner at Buck Knives Paul Bos Heat Treating. Here is the contact info. Call in and ask for paul. He will most likely have to call you back and he will!

They have done CPM-D-2 for me many times and I've heard they have done many other parts besides blades..

I'd check locally with a machine shop. If they don't do their own in-house heat treating, they usually have someone in the area that they give it to.
