Anyone forge welded Nickle Silver

So I cant seem to find any nickle silver in the size I need,I have 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch bar stock but need a piece that's about a inch thick,I've done mokum before but was wondering if anyone has forge welded nickle silver to nickel silver. I suppose I could silver soldier two pieces togeather if I had too but thought the joint would show through. I did a search and what i found said it wouldn't work but you know how the interweb is.
 
AK, from what I have learned about putting nickel silver together from making sheaths out of it is to silver solder it. Would you by chance have an old 2"x72" you would part with?
 
Do you have a crucible big enough to pour the size you need? If you used it for Mokume I would think that might be a possibility. Just a thought

I dont have a old grinder to part with sorry .
