Thanks Garry. I appreciate the feedback.It is very similar to my paring knife and I know how well that works so yours should meet expectatiins as well.
Thanks Chris, the plunge lines did turn out nice. ( I guess my filing machine got a tune up!)I like it the plunge lines look good to my one eye that is not still blurry. The only suggestion I would have us to set your front pin a little further back. I like the birdseye too it finished nicely.

Now that I look at it , that front pin is too far forward. I have had a great deal of success with the birdseye and a tru-oil finish.
I've found that if you apply the tru-oil with your finger tip, (about 2or 3 drops) and rub it in, the friction from your fingertips dries it significantly faster.I use tru-oil too. I like tung oil but it dries even slower that tru-oil.
