This is an experiment started by myself and my friend who owns water jet Tech , he is a member here .
Its made from military carbon fiber woven thru with kevlar . The carbon fiber is some leftovers he had
from cutting parts for military projects . This stuff is used for helicopter floors and trauma plates .
The steel edge is Aldo's 1084 . The steel is already hardened . Needs to be sharpened and smoothed out
the CF is wider than 1/4 " ( thicker than blade) . Our aim was to make a durable light weight blade .
I hope to sharpen and test her out in a few days . The waterjet work has to be right on the money
otherwise it will just not fit right . Jay from WJT is a genius with those machines . He designed and built his own WJ . Tables are 10'x 18' . He does some knives but mainly is a military contractor . Let you know how it turns out . The Blade is good sized 16" OL with 2" wide blade . Carbon fiber is 5/16" thick....... Bubba
