Aluminum and SS handles.

Im looking into creating a set of steak knives and thinking about either aluminum or stainless scales. Anyone have any experience with this? Tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated.
 
Keep in mind that when certain metals come in contact with each other there are chemical reactions (galvanic corrosion) that will be a problem. There are charts that will show you what metals don't play well with others.

You can mitigate this with liners and such.
 
Ok, great. I havent done a ton of research yet just see what everyone knows about it. Thats good to know. The knife set is to be made out of 440c.
