Wondering if anyone knows how to acid wash AEB-L stainless steel wondering if there's a certain acid I need or if it's just not possible

Thanks Nathan

I'd like to know too. I tried my Ferric Chloride concoction didn't touch it. I'm thinking Sulfuric Acid but DANGEROUS!

I think mine is 3:1 and I etch names, etc on AEB-L. I use vinyl to cover the blade with what i want etched cut out. It takes like 30 minutes, but it does etch stainless.

Also what ever you use heat it up.....easy to do , put the solution into a suitable container , I use a soil or drainpipe (UPVC) with a glue weld blank on the end. Placed in a deep bucket of water into which a travel immersion heat has been placed , they are used to heat a cup of water in a hotel room....15 mins later and your acid is hot. Used this for Hydrochloric and Ferric with superb results... Oh an scrub your blade with soapy water , hot as hell with an old tooth brush, again.....and again......then use diluted ammonia ..mask up , glove up goggle up!
