Hello, folks. I am a sharpener from the Madison area. I retired from my "adult job" early and took up the curse of the wet waterstone. This forum was recommended to me by KCSteve.

Glad to have you here. If you would like to do a video or a tutorial on shapening with the waterstones please do.

Glad to have you here. A WIP or tutorial would be great, when you have a chance. None of the dogs 'round here every growl. It is a great place to hang out.

Thanks guys, this forum was highly recommended to me, and after a brief perusal I joined immediately.

As for a tutorial, I should state something right up front. Yes, I am a professional sharpener. As for rank or credentials, I am a 'tinker,' not a polisher. I do use a polisher's stones to sharpen, but I have no formal training.

I do have a lot of Japanese books, and huge telephone bill due to calling Ben Dale.:p

Welcome, do you have a name?

Sorry. My name is Chico, and you can always find me at the local Harley shop stealing free coffee and hot dogs.

Being retired I like to work at a slower pace. I do have a Wisconsin Resellers License, but I restrict my little company to the east side of Dane County.

My business is humorously called "Bada Bing Cutlery Emporium."

Hi Chico, Welcome to the pack, I must warn you though , this site will make you a sharper sharpener, check out the paper wheel sharpening system, it might be of great help in terms of time spent making primo edges.
