A new Hunter out of 440C

I just finished this Hunter up and I'm really pleased with how it came out. The deep and full hollow grind was done by hand with no jig, and I really worked for a functional and balanced knife. The blade was hardened to R58. Although I have done many customizations, restorations, and modifications to knives, this was my first from scratch.

that looks very good. At some point, you will reach a cross-roads where you have to decide whether you are going to really go for it, and hand sand/finish everything. It seems like a royal pain at first, but you get better at it, and your patience and ability to just join with the work also improves. Eventually, except when you are hand-finishing a sword or something, it doesn't seem too bad. It is sort of just giving the loving attention to detail that your hard work deserves so the world can see it as it should be seen. All of this rambling will make sense at some point, I think.

good work all around.

Thanks Kevin! Your work is amazing! I definitely tried the hand sanding fur a but on this piece but it wasn't going very well. I need to learn some better techniques and ways to keep the grain all running the right way if that makes sense?

Cool knife, I use 440C quite a bit. Makes a great Hunter or kitchen knife. I really like you collection of points as well!:tt1:
