A new design

Von Gruff

KNIFE MAKER
I had designed this one a while back but this was the first time I decided to make a couple.
A good friend had given me a piece of beech burl and thought to use it on this smaller handled knife as it had some barkpockets I had to fill and would not suit anything larger. Did another one in buffalo horn and one in walnut as well

2.2mm - .09 15N20 steel. 90x20mm blade (3 1/2x3/4)

Wonderful design! I think a knife like this is the one of the best all-around designs for real world usefulness. It could be the perfect daily knife or food prep knife.

I like the design as well as the handle material. Very clean and functional looking.

Nice!...I have a small cowboy knife I'm working on that look similar in the blade portion. Your burl handle is a real beaut! The all black one I could use in the kitchen all day. Great design!

It is a multi purpose design in that, while it was initially for a a bird and trout function, I deleted the trout reference because it is from 15N20 rather than a stainless. Having said that, it would work well as a boning knife, or as John said, a prep knife in the kitchen.
