A new paring Knife I finished today. Black and cherry red G-10 with g-10 pins. . I have another glued up with orange G10 and blue G10 liners.
Sorry just a hand rubbed 600 grit blade. Just crappy pictures. I was tired.Good looking paring knife and is gonna be really used lots in kitchen. 4 of the photos look like you've blackened the blade, while the other shows a shiny blade. Tell about that - is it blackened? How'd you do it?
I bought .070 Abe-l. And I heat treat my own stainless. I fallowed the heat treat recipe it cuts great and holds a great edge. I also did a couple in .125 Abe-l and a few In ATS-34 .100 thickness . Let me know if I can help at all. .Nice for sure! How thick was the AEB-L stock you used? And did you do your own heat treating? I’m starting on a couple of paring knives and a couple small kitchen knives for daughters and wife, and really appreciate the input! I’ll have to show yours to my wife. I’ve never paid much attention to kitchen knives before plus this will be my first use of stainless. Thx
