A Letter Opener OR ?? SOLD
Hello folks , I made this knife back in 1993 when I first started . Made it for my wife but we have now decided to thin down our belongings so this is going . I decided to make a stand for it and call it a letter opener . There are a couple of tiny pits in the blade that can be seen in certain light from sitting in our book case for so many years and 4 house moves .
It is hollow ground in O-1 tool steel , heat treated by Paul Bos to an Rc.59 . I have rebuffed and polished the knife , and put a new edge on it
Has nickle bolsters , brass finger guard , black ebony red spacer then white tail stag . Brass pommel and acorn nut .
It seems when you first start making knives you want to try and use everything .
Stand is Black Walnut .
