A few "micro" Friction Folders
I call this design the "San" - after one of the indigenous Bushman tribes here in South Africa. This is the "micro" version - sporting a 2" blade and an open OAL of about 5" - so still a usable size but quite small. Nice size for a watch pocket or keyring. I also make them in a full 3" bladed version as well as a "mini" - which has a 2.2" blade and is slightly heftier than the micro:
First up, African Black Wood, N690 mirror polished, with stainless furniture and trip, file worked blade. Shown next to the Spyderco UKPK for scale:
Next up, hippo ivory scales, Blue Wildebeest (Brindled Gnu) horn bolsters, polished N690 blade, stainless trim and file worked blade:
Then a much more plain model - stainless trim and micarta scales
This has a wharncliffe blade, polished N690, file worked, brass trim, LSCF scales and phosphor bronze clip:
And one in warthog tusk...
Thanks for looking and comments are welcome
