954 bronze for bolsters?

hi,
found some 954 bronze to work with, worn out guides from the presses. The pieces are a good size to make bolsters. some questions:
Is it hard enough to tap?
Have not found any bolts or screws or pins made from bronze. Would brass pins or screws blend in?
To mount, I was thinking thru pins or screws and JB weld. blade will be 1084 or O1. any ideas?
thanks,

I don't think the brass will be a perfect match but will probably be attractive. You could always go with nickel silver for contrast. Depending on the thickness of the stock, it might be possible to saw square strips and after carefully rounding them against the abrasive belt to octagon then true them up round in the drill press chuck with a file and make your own short pin stock if you've only got a few to do. Check a few times with a caliper and go slow with some good eyeball and you can get really close. I wouldn't want to make dozens that way but I needed brass pinstock in 3/16 once so I just made the pins from 1/4" sheet.
