Anyone care to share their 52100 heat treat recipe?

Will be using a HT oven, and should be able to hold temps close to spec.

Quenchant I have currently is the Chevron Medium speed (K type?) What temp for oil??

These blades will be 1/8" stock

Ive read several recipes where diffrent soak times and temps were mentioned.

Am shooting for @ 59-60 Rockwell

Also if you have opinions on Cryo for 52100 Id love to hear them.

Thanks And God Bless
Mike

The simple recipe is:
Heat to 1550.
soak 5 min at temp.
Temper at 450 degrees for rc of 58-59 in 180 degree oil.
Don't overheat the steel, it becomes very brittle.

Ed Fowler's recipe :
Quench 3 times at 1550 degrees at 24 hour intervals (grain refinement)
8-10 hrs in freezer
3 temper cycles at 375 degrees at 2 hours each.
