This is my 4th folder I've made.

Black linen Micarta over .050 titanium liners
Cpm154 blade, acid etched as dark as I can get it. (Any ideas for darker I'm all ears) 3.5" blade
Random Jimping on spine
4.5" handle
Random anodized liners
Blasted clip from .040 Titanium
Let me know what you think, and any ideas for designs that would be more ergonomic/useful

Thank you fellas. I like the linen but it does change colors easily

Great rugged looking tactical- the deep finger groove would make it very secure in hand. You mentioned the micarta changes color easy- one tip I got here was to put a coat of tru-oil on micarta to seal it from blood, etc and darkens it up some in good way. one other thing- how did you get a 14% chrome steel like CPM154 to darken like that- did you use FC or? Usually SS just dulls up when I try to darken it. I like the look for sure though.

Aus, I've been thinking about a little oil. I have been using wd40 with good results on many g10 handles and it darkens and seals but not like Tru oil.

I experimented a lot on the acid wash, I used fc. Cut 50 percent with water. The secret I found out is to heat the blade to 250, then dipping in the fc. Have a pot of near boiling water on standby. Dip for 3 mins, into the water. A black film forms, rub it off. Back in the fc for 3 mins. Repeat. Repeat until darkness suits yiu. Takes me about 4 dips. Then ammonia then wd40 to counteract reaction. That's worked well for me.
Justin, thank you sir
