Hi,
Here are blades just completed:
The feather damascus hunter and wandering feather chef blade are made from 1095/L6. The carbon hunter is 5160. Both hunters are approximately 8 5/8" overall with a 4 1/4" blade. Depth at the heal is 1 7/16" and thickness at the spine is 5/32-3/16".
The wandering feather chef blade is 11 1/4" oal, 6 1/4" blade and 1 3/8"h and 1/16" at the heal of the spine. It's one of the lighter and thinner blades I've made.
Comments, suggestions, criticisms welcome...I'm not so sure about the criticisms, but have at it.
Thanks for looking,
John

John,
Your Chef knife would be referred to as a Petty knife in Japan. It looks really nice and functional, I like the way you did the handle and the dimensions sound like it would work really well.
Keep them coming.

Very functional and beautiful- like what you did with the burl and black handle work and fine metal work.
