18” Machete

I had to come back today to comment on your machete - I like it. The length and curves just flow. How thick is the blade? Did you put any distal taper at all? Lack of a distal taper keeps weight up at the end for good chopping. Good job - makes me want to use that pattern to make a machete.... But, I've got two good machetes, one I brought back from Guatemala and one from somewhere in the Islands.

It’s 3/16” thick and I did grind a distal taper. The width of the blade up front will provide plenty of chopping power, I hope!
