1084 with quench line

http://Hey gang! First one I have completed in a very long while and first one I've sold for decent money. This one is 1084 steel with G-10 handle scales. I coated the blade with satanite prior to the quench heat. I did the sheath as well. Let me know what y'all think!
 
Looks good I like it. I have been playing around with hamon and 1084, seems like you can get a good quench line.
 
I did use Ferric Chloride for the etch. Mixed up some satanite clay to a sour cream consistancy and applied that to the blade in the pattern you see on the blade. Heated to just past no magnetic and quenched in maxim oil d-48. After hand sandwiches by to 800 grit I let is sit in a glass jar with the ferric chloride for a couple of minutes and then rubbed it down with 0000 steel wool. Washed that off with winded and then a good scrubbing with dawn and the finished it up with flits metal polish and a coat of briwax. It's really pretty simple and fun to play around with.
