    K&G stabilized Koa

I recently acquired Shelton Pacific’s remaining inventory of Koa. The stabilized blocks vary in size, quality, price. All are marked with price, size and inventory number. Efforts were made to represent actual color with no modifications. I have blocks of many sizes including large bowie...

    Playing with my laser.

Like most of you who use one, I've lasered a bunch of different things on blades. This is the latest. AEB-L with spalted maple. If you're right-handed you can cut veggies, if left-handed you can cut fruit. Lol

    Canister Bird and Trout

My first canister has bearings and 1095 rod. Things I learned, use small bearings not large, fine powder is not fine enough (looks grainy) and leave the billet thick enough to grind off the powdered steel on the outside to get a more even pattern. But this little knife looks pretty ok with stag.

    Graduation Dagger

While two of my grandchildren asked for flippers, the youngest wanted a dagger. This one is my 1095 and 15n20 damascus with stabilized Buckeye burl. I think everyone needs to post more!

    Small forced Burner

I have a smaller forge, it is 4" round by 14" long. It got to welding temps as a venturi, but I changed to forced air for controllability. I too was looking for a cost-effective fan. I am using a blower like this and am very happy with it. It gets to welding temps quickly and makes the forge...

My friend ended up making turkish twist from the twists in my previous picture. He ended up with two of these 2x11x3/16.

    Rolling mill

Ha, it must be a 4". I remember doing the math when I built it. I wanted more pressure but as you know what you got is what you got unless you spend more. I do have it turned up as high as it goes.

    Damascus twister

The billet is sized to a little under 3/4" using flat dies with spacing stops on a press. The twister uses sockets made from 3/4 " socket extensions, one of which is turned down to fit in the drill chuck.

    Rolling mill

I have around $800 or so in my press build, but I already had the steel and the 3.5 cylinder. 5 hp motor, 18 tons.

    Damascus twister

This is a twisting machine made by a friend. It's pretty simple and uses a hole hawg for power.

    Rolling mill

Thanks Ken, but I would need a 56c frame motor to fit this. That would eliminate a separate mount and lovejoy fittings. WGA-63M-030-H1

    Rolling mill

At Automation Direct, the correct gear reduction (60:1) is $261 and the 1 hp motor (1750rpm) is $253. I'm pretty sure I could source the rest of the parts under $500.
