    This is my press, 5hp / 230 volt, 2 stage pump, 5" ram. the top half unbolts so it's easy to move. The cylinder you are standing on looks like it has no way to connect the rod to your press.

    I have a kitchen knife I am working on .09 thick ats34, it picked up a twist during heat treatment. Foil raped, oil quenched. Can I just re do the heat treatment like I would with carbon steel ? Or are there other steps involved with this steel. Will this steel harden using the aluminum...

    Sodium Bisulfite formula??

    I use about 1 1/2 cup to a gal. of water. it works faster if you heat it up, about a one hour soak, longer if there is flux.

    Hi Bruce, how do you clean and prep your dyed stag before you use it, i bought some from Culpepper at the Blade show and forgot to ask them. It is very messy, dye residue gets all over, any problems with glue up. Thanks! Scott

    That's right Bruce, Tom used a small hand cranked pasta rolling machine to roll out the clay for the first billet then used a small rolling pin to draw out, It's best to work in a cool location so the clay won't get to soft. Most crafts store will have all the supplys for this clay work. Scott
