WTB Jantz Grinding Fixture w/elevator thingy

Like the title says, I'm looking for the Jantz Supply grinding fixture/Jig. I basically need it for the parts to make it into something else, so well-used is fine by me. :) Thanks!

    First peened slippie!

Finished this one the other day. I've definitely invested more time and effort into these things then I really should have! Big thanks to all of you that have took the time to put together tutorials! This one is .100 1095 with lightening strike carbon fiber. :)

    Amber stag finishing

I had a stag round amber dyed at Culpeppers and I'm not sure how to finish it. Every time I touch it I get a little color off of it to my hands and I definitely can't send it to the customer like that. What do you all do with the stuff?

peening over carbon fiber -- collar?

I know I've seen this before, but I don't know what to search for so none of my forum searches game me answers. How do you all go about peening the pivot on slipjoints without bolsters? Some sort of collar?

    What pin material for slippies?

I've got an order for a slipjoint that I have to pin together, but have never done that before. I've been over the WIP threads, but couldn't find my answer. I'll be using 410 and 416 for the liners and bolsters.

    Mini salt pot?

This is something that has been on my mind lately -- I've always been interested in doing salt pots, but I do about 99-percent folders and I've been thinking about the feasibility of a "mini" salt-pot with about a 15-inch tube or so. Anyone have thoughts on this? Mr. Cashen? :D

    satanite from Knife and Gun

Anyone ever used this stuff? Ellis was out so I had to get it elsewhere, but since using it I feel like my eyeballs are burning out of their sockets while trying to heat-treat. I figure it has to be the new satanite.

    Still alive (with pics!)

Was getting ready for the Vegas show and now doing some "Daddy Daycare", so time has not been my friend lately! Sorry for being such a slacker! :D

    Meet Cullen Gregory Burch!

The wife and I just had our first child on the 25th. An 8-pound baby boy we've dubbed Cullen. We brought him home yesterday and already have a couple sleepless nights under out belts. He has healthy lungs and his poop-maker definitely works! I've yet to change a single diaper in the nursery or...

Doing a slip joint out of CPM-154 for a customer and I wasn't sure what to temper the spring at. Any suggestions?

    Copper Niobium and Stag

Finished this one up for a customer the other day. He wanted something similar to the "Pointy Flipper" (I know; creative name :D ), but with a bit of recurve. Has about a 3 1/2-inch cutting edge and a copper backspacer. (sorry for the bad photos!)

    Tactical Invitational show knives

Still got a few to finish, but this is what I have so far. :) 1. First up is a Nova flipper with Nichols damascus bolster and afzalia burl handle. 2. Pretty excited about this one. When I was a kid there was an old International Scout that someone painted up in all green with a big...

    Fossil Walrus fixed blade

I don't make a lot of fixed blades these days and definitely don't make many stick tangs anymore, but sometimes sometimes something grabs ya just right. I went to Jody's place a bit ago to make some damascus and I ended up buying this piece of fossil walrus off of him. Having the knifemaking ADD...

    2009 Halloween Folder

Finally finished -- just in time! :D This is the third year of doing this and it is just fun. I get to play with lots o' orange G-10. This year's folder features a .187-thick W-2 blade that has a 3-inch cutting edge. It is about 7 3/4 open and 4 1/2 closed. .125 titanium for the lockside and...

    Stag and W-2 Folder

Just finished this little "New York Special" Swoop with a W-2 blade and damascus/stag handle. I couldn't bring myself to put a clip on it though. :)
