My new anvil (Hoss) weighs atleast 350lbs. The gentleman that I bought from said his Grandfather was a shipbuiler as far back as WWII and crafted sometime during his career. I plan shaping up the horn some but thats about it. Best parts was I paid much less than scrap price for it.

Does anyone have a good source for a light tan micarta? I can only seem to find brown and I know its out there. Thanks

Hey guys, I have been working on this design for awhile trying to come up with something unique as oyster knives are pretty standard fare. I am making them with or without bottle opener. This particular one is fitted with Redwood Burl.
