Hi Mal. Yes you need to read all you can. If possable find a maker near you and ask if he will give you some pointers I met an old maker tought me a lot in a short time. I do not want to buff anymore. Not much scares me, but that darn thing will grab knives and through them at you. That scares me. What grit belt do you go to, on the grinder to not buff. thanks for any help. Darryl

Is there another materal that works like titanium.I picked up some materal from work. It drills and sparks like titanium. Blut is a little softer and heaver. I put together my second frame lock with it. I am going to get a friend to test befor I make another one. Thanks guys

yes I am making a spring for my first multi. blade . the blades are allso 52100.got it at a good price. so thought i would try it.

i think Murph is right. if collecting knives is the same as guns . doing to much can turn a $10,000 collectable into a $400 shooter. in this case less may be best Darryl Cota
