JJS might have the answer, but, it could also be a bunk countersink. Some of the cheaper ones can chatter pretty bad, running slow or fast. Is it a multi-fluted CS or a single fluted ? Generally, for larger holes, I prefer a single fluted CS. For my lanyard tubes though I have a couple...

Coolant, honing oil, kerosene, you name it, my hands have been soaking it up for many, many years now. First when I started out as a Tool & Die Apprentice polishing mold cavity and now, when I'm polishing my knives. Like Nathan, I started to wonder what all of the petroleum based products...

W2 is my most favoritist ;) then the high carbon end of the 10XX steels ........ 2thumbs Oh, 5160 is right up there too :D For air cool its CPM154 & CPM3V. A2 & D2 is really good stuff too D*MN, there's just so many good ones....................... :confused: Do I have to pick...
