    Diamond Files?

Do any of you guys use diamond files for handworking and “fine tuning” bevels after HT? I’m having a heck of a time doing the final hand work on this blade now that it’s been hardened. I was trying 80 grit ceramic belt material taped to a flat aluminum bar but even the ceramic goes away after...

    2 hunter WIP

Looking great! I like your method for pulling weight out of the full tang handle. Good idea. I have a very similar shaped template for a DPH that I plan to work on over the holiday. What steel and thickness are you using? andy

    USA Driving Licences

No, you only need a license for the state you live in, the other 49 states (and US territories as well I think) will recognize and accept your license as valid if you drive in the other states. In fact the state license databases are tied together to the point that if a person has a revoked or...

    rodent damage under the hood...

I've battled mice and squirrels around my truck, that sits outside in a pretty rural area like what you described. I've been lucky (so far) not to have major damage yet but they love to crawl up in there and hang out and build nests in the engine bay. I was once driving my truck to Home Depot...

    Home made mini-forge

Hey Guys - I'm pretty new to Knife Dogs so I don't know how useful or interesting this will be for you all, but I thought I'd post up a WIP / step by step of the mini-forge I built for heat treating blades. It came out "okay" but was a lot of fun to make. I wish the heating was a little...

    "Tactical" Tomahawk Request

Yes... Tough to find that steel in a 8" width... I looked around a bit and the widest I could find is 4". Not sure how wide a leaf spring out of a piece of heavy equipment might be... possibly 8" on a big rig. But regular car and truck leaf springs won't be that wide.

    Tempering Question

Question for you guys.... What is the reason for doing tempering in separate shorter cycles, as opposed to a single longer cycle. For example many recommendations are something along the lines of "temper at TWICE at 400F for two hours each" What would be the difference in just doing a single...

    Let's talk paypal.

You can use Paypal with just a credit card, you don't have to use your bank account. There used to be a limit on how much you could send with a credit card, before having to switch to using a bank account, but that got lifted a few years ago. I use Paypal regularly and have never linked it to...
