Dan Van, thank you. You can certainly use washers to acheive the same effect. I used .005 copper washers for several slip joints. Milling the liners is just a different way of doing it. If you are going to use washers, remember that the tang on your blade will need to be thinner than...

Thanks, guys. I am thinking the next one will be a swayback as well but with some bolsters and some the green g10. I have been carrying this one everyday and like the straight edge of the wharncliffe blade more than I thought I would. Johnny

I use Static-Guard in the spray can. As the gridner is running, I spray the back of the belt. A good coating will last me about 30 minutes and I can feel the little static shocks start to come back. The humidity here is normally brutal but as it gets cooler, the humidity drops.
