    That's the exact one I have been using it for about 6 or 7 years,I also slip a plastic sandwich bag over it to clean up around my mill and lathe and you just pull the baggie off and all the swarf comes with it.

    Yup looks better, as soon as I saw it I said exactly what John said. A good rule of thumb on a Bowie or fighter is that the point should terminate at or near the centerline of the blade.

    I've used lacquer on it before,back when I was making custom bows I used fuller plastic two part epoxy finished on my bow risers but that sometimes would not harden on cocobolo so all my cocobolo risers got shot with lacquer.

    It looks like you had a blow out when you drilled the hole,there are tell tail signs of that in the front of the tube as well,if you want to get rid of it your going to have to thin that handle down a little to get past it.
