3M Ultimate FX Full Facepiece Reusable Respirator FF-402 .

I took mine with me when I retired and I wear glasses. Like Sean said it will depend on your frames, with mine I had to tuck small pieces of rag or paper towels around were it contacted the frames or sand and dirt would blow in but that was in really bad conditions. In a knife shop you might be...

    Damascus Heat Treating

As for neutralizing with windex, I don’t know that windex even has ammonia in it anymore, I can never find it on the labels anymore so I bought a jug of ammonia and add it to windex to make sure. Half the time I mix up some baking soda and water and swish the blade around in that.

    Damascus Heat Treating

Sorry for the sideways picture, that’s the first time I added a pic from my phone here and surprised it even worked. I usually leave the blade in for about 4 min. Check with an extension magnet if good I leave for another minute or so. I quench in parks 50 for a short time then go to aluminum...

    1911 holster...

Not a sheath but it's leather so I figured it should go in the knife sheath forum. this is my first 1911 pancake holster, it has an Elephant hide overlay on the front. I'm using patterns I'm drawing up myself so I'm still learning how to do that right. the next one I'm going to move the...

    Tippmann Boss

I don't know anything about the Tippmann other then reading reviews from other knifemakers and leatherworkers, none of which were steller. I hand stitched for 30+ years and the last five or so started looking at machines. the first was the Tippmann and I searched high and low for everything I...

Thanks Ken, here's a picture of the bottom. the vacuum pulled it partially closed. it started as just two flat pieces of leather. I've been wearing it for two days now so it's showing some wear now.

    New holster

Thanks Kentucky, it started out as two pieces of flat leather from a paper pattern I drew out of the gun, then I stitched it up with a relatively new to me Cowboy 4500 sewing machine. then I submerged it in water for about four seconds, pushed the gun in -wrapped in cellophane- then put it in a...
