I wish I could say I free handed them but that would be a lie. I used my work rest set up with a 123 block and my John Willson turned small wheel shaft with a 2" contact wheel. Rested the spine on the block and pulled it across. I did a short video of it if you guys are interested I will upload...

    Family Heriloom Ironwood Bowie

That is the best description yet. I could not figure out exactly what to call it but now it is clear the "Ka-Bowie". Couple of my favorites too. Thanks for that!

Nice job on the stamping, that's alot or real estate to keep straight. I like how your edge stamp looks how do you align it?

    Knife No 7

Nice job Sean. The only critique I have is the transition from the finger choil to ricasso to bevel is a little off for me but overall well done.

Also what is the best technique for finishing your stitch? I always seem to back watch a couple and tie then together and singe the ends. Would like to know what the proper techniglque is.

    Sheath Makin Hatin Club

Thank you guys. Ok now here's the bad part, I almost ran off the edge on the one side on the back. Glad this one is staying with me. This was not how I originally wanted to do the back and the belt loop. I think I have it figured out on the next one.

    Family Heriloom Ironwood Bowie

This is the first of the Bowies done. I made this as a family heirloom that will hopefully get passed down for generations long after I'm dirt. Still needs to be sharpened but I could not wait to take a few pictures of it. Stamped and hand stitched sheath to go with it. 1075 steel with hamon and...

    Sheath Makin Hatin Club

Done!! Thank God I learned a few things on this sheath. Stitching pony is a must...why the heck did I not do that sooner. Here is my favorite tip I seen in one of the videos you guys linked. I seem to have always had a problem stabbing the thread and I put the second needle through the hole...

    Struggling with makers mark

I would have to disagree with Ed. I'm a firm believer that your mark should represent you and the knives you make. If the hog head is what you like and the people in your are love it on your blades do it. The age in my opinion of not knowing who made the blade has changed. Social media and the...

    Struggling with makers mark

I dont like it as well in the middle of the hog head. This would make it longer but it would look good maybe if the Barone was running down the spine of the hog head.
