    Smoking deal on belts.

I equate this to the people that reload 22 LR ammo. Yes it can be done, but to what end? Spending time and money to save money, and still get slapped in the face with a belt.

    Cryo quenching

When putting blades in your Dewar try to keep them above the liquid. The liquid will gas off much quicker if the blades are actually submerged.

    Knife Shows

To answer the OP. The shows I do are Badger Knife Show in Janesville WI, Spirit of the Blade in Troy OH and Blade Show. I'd like to find a decent fall show.

Never thought it would make much difference...

I ground on a steel platen for years without issue, but switched to glass on Tracy's recommendation. About a month later I switched back to steel. For the way I grind, it was not a good experiment. This is my answer to static shock. I have one on each grinder.

First impressions on the Cowboy Outlaw Sewing Machine

Thanks for the info. I have a Tippman Boss and was considering getting a sewing machine this fall. It was between the Cobra and the Cowboy, but both of the guys that have helped me with sheath have Cowboys so that's where I was leaning. I question having to clamp it down. Doesn't it come with...

    Epoxy Curing Box?

Glue up your knives on one of your wives cookie sheets. It will keep the epoxy off the table. I have a propane ceiling heater, and just ordered an 18K mini split for the shop. I keep it at 45° in the winter, or 65° when I'm working out there. I glue up on a cookie sheet and just bring the whole...

Another Wicklow. The handle is reclaimed river birch. The log this wood came from sat under water for over 100 years. It was old enough that it was still axe cut. The rings were over 200 and are very fine. This wood was growing before the US was a country.

Paring Knife, need ideas or examples

I have three models I usually suggest for paring or small kitchen work. The first is my Armagh which is a hollow ground sheepsfoot. The next is my Derry with a flat grind, and the third is the Antrim which I bill as an oversized paring or light utility. The Antrim can be flat or hollow ground.
