    no My quench tank is inches from my kiln. probably too close. I really just noticed it the last time o went to quench as I was pulling it out. im Also trusting my gauge on the Paragon kiln I have.

    They perform well short term so far. I haven’t been experienced in testing hardness. I think I am getting more concerned because I sold a few.

    I notice when I pull my blade out of the kiln, a mm or so of the edge loses its red color quickly before it hits the quench. . Is that a problem? Is my edge too thin? There is about dime width.

    Yeah I actually wanted to try to make them. Then I read how dangerous it was, and decided to keep my heart pumping for a little while longer. I would love to see what you could do with them.

    Glad you got it. I lobe those cherry scales but honestly I was too afraid to even attempt making handles with them. I would think you would have to be very careful in the design because you really can’t sand them down.

    I agree. It is ome of the most beautiful woods, yet because there is so much of it , we take it for granted. Although that piece he used is extra special.

    Nice shop and really nice car. How do you keep your car clean. Do you pull it out? Also is it a SS. If so doesn’t it typically have the SS on the grill. Or am I totally off on the car.

    I think what threw folks was the scale of this thing. It was hard to tell the diameter without a point of reference. Overall Dennis probably worked the hardest with his Waldo guesses.
