Normalizing won't work for SS in this regard.

For the 15n20, take it to heat treat temp for 10-15 minutes and air cool.

For carbide faced hammers you can check out khdailyknives.com . He had some for sale at the last hammer in.

You might want to consider a normalizing cycle. Per Dr. Larrin Thomas, this should help with warping. The difference is that you heat to austenizing temperature then air cool. His book is a wealth of information but, it gets into a lot of deep science.

I would recommend Parks AAA. I have been told that temperature is not critical for this oil.

Personally, I see a ghost of a Hamon. Maybe after a little more cleanup and another etch it will be more apparent.
